Join us one Saturday each month when we add a little extra to you visit. All activities are included in the Museum's admission price.


Saturday 16th September: Flash, Bang, Wallop! What a Picture!

The Victorian Photographer will be at the Museum between 10am and 1pm.

Come along and have your photograph taken in an authentic Victorian setting.

Period costume available to borrow.

Free souvenir print of your photograph included in admission price.

Joseph Lancaster began an Educational Revolution which brought school within reach of millions of poor children, yet he died in poverty and obscurity on the 23rd of October 1838. 

Discover the extraordinary life and legacy of the man who became known as 'The Poor Child's Friend.'
